The DRM API helps determine if the end user is authorized to run a given title or content. This helps determine whether to grant the end user access for paid content or block access to features that have not been paid for.
Use the DRM wrapper instead of the API whenever possible, as it provides better protection. The DRM API is provided for compatibility only, and should only be used for cases where the wrapper causes unresolvable compatibility issues. For more information on the DRM wrapper, see the VIVEPORT Submission Guide.
The DLC API handles all DRM functions for DLC-related content. The DRM wrapper and DRM API are only for use with the main title, and should not be implemented in DLC.
