Simulating an arcade environment
The VIVEPORT Switch tool allows you to simulate an arcade environment on a desktop PC. The VIVEPORT SDK and VIVEPORT Arcade SDKs use the same resources. The choice between Arcade and Desktop mode is made by the installed version of the VIVEPORT software, such as Desktop, Client, or Host. The VIVEPORT Switch tool temporarily overrides this choice to allow simulation of the right environment for testing purposes.
Before you begin : Make sure the VIVEPORT Desktop is already installed on your computer.
To use VIVEPORT Switch to change modes, do the following:
- Download and extract the VIVEPORT SDK.

Open the VIVEPORT Switch tool
ViveportSwitch.exe. -
Choose a mode for VIVEPORT:
- VIVEPORT Desktop to interact with VIVEPORT Desktop APIs

VIVEPORT Arcade
to interact with VIVEPORT Arcade APIs
When you have chosen a mode, click Switch .
- The VIVEPORT Service will restart after changing modes. You must relaunch VIVEPORT Desktop before continuing.
- Make sure to change back to the appropriate mode to continue normal use.
