How do I use VIVE Wrist Tracker as VIVE Tracker?

VIVE Wrist Tracker button events and USB data

Take note of these for the Emulate VIVE Wrist Tracker as VIVE Tracker option.
When option is selected When option is not selected
  • VIVE Wrist Tracker input binding file is the same as VIVE Tracker.
  • Apps cannot receive USB data in raw format. VIVE Business Streaming will translate to input events and sent as ​“‍tracked object” to apps.
  • VIVE Wrist Tracker input binding file is different with VIVE Tracker.
  • Apps can receive USB data in raw format using the OpenVR IVRIOBuffer interface. VIVE Business Streaming will change the data.
  • Left tracker device name: "‍vive/trkerex/left
  • Right tracker device name: "‍vive/trkerex/right"‍

OpenXR developers

  • XR_HTCX_vive_tracker_interaction extension is supported.
  • Emulate VIVE Wrist Tracker as VIVE Tracker option in the VIVE Business Streaming settings must be selected.
Note: OpenXR XR_HTC_vive_wrist_tracker_interaction extension is currently not supported.

Button input binding
